Edward Linsmier is an accomplished photographer who has made Florida his home since 2007. Known for his editorial, commercial, and advertising work, Edward embraces the quirky essence of the Sunshine State, stating, “It’s a weird place and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” His artistic journey began with a degree in Photojournalism from Western Kentucky University, where he discovered his passion for storytelling through images.

Having worked as a staff photographer for a Fort Lauderdale-based NGO, Edward’s travels across Central America and the Caribbean enriched his perspective and portfolio. Now based in Tampa, he shares his life with his wife, Megan, and their two daughters, all while continuing to immerse himself in the vibrant local photo community.

When he’s not behind the camera, Edward indulges in his love for travel and water sports, often found scuba or freediving. His professional accolades are impressive; he was part of The Washington Post team that won the Public Service Pulitzer Prize in 2022. “I began working on this story, unbeknownst to me, my freshman year of college,” he reflects, recounting a pivotal photo essay that shaped his career and highlighted the societal issues surrounding addiction.
